MEED Foundation and University of Sulaimani Sign MoU to Collaborate on Addressing Environmental Challenges in the Kurdistan Region.

In a strategic move to address growing environmental concerns in the Kurdistan Region, MEED Foundation and the College of Environmental Sciences at the University of Sulaimani have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in research, monitoring, and sustainable development.
The agreement was officially signed by Mr. Amanj Yarwaessi, Board Director of MEED Foundation, and Dr. Emad Omer, Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences. The MoU outlines a cooperative framework aimed at advancing efforts in environmental data analysis, water and air quality monitoring, and sustainable agricultural practices.
This partnership will support joint research initiatives, field studies, and community outreach programs, enabling both institutions to pool expertise and resources in pursuit of a more sustainable and resilient environment for the Kurdistan Region. The collaboration is expected to generate evidence-based solutions for local and regional policymakers, while also providing students and researchers with hands-on opportunities in applied environmental science.
Through this agreement, MEED Foundation and the University of Sulaimani reaffirm their shared commitment to building a greener future by promoting environmental stewardship, scientific innovation, and active public engagement.
