MEED Foundation’s participation in the Girls and Technology 2024 Event

MEED Foundation participated in the Girls and Technology 2024 event, hosted by the Violet Organization at High Crest Hotel sponsored by iQ Group. The event showcased the organization's projects and celebrated the participants who successfully completed their courses.
The Girls and Technology project aim to increase women's engagement in technology and prepare them for success in this dynamic industry. In 2023 Violet Organization launched its first course with 70 women participants enrolled. The topics of the courses included graphic design, digital marketing, photography, and UI/UX design. This year, the project expanded its courses to include additional topics, such as the fundamentals of the Agile ecosystem, covering Google Apps and Microsoft Office. The courses were taught by experts, with durations ranging from 4 - 15 days.
At the beginning of the event, Ms. Shnyar Salam, the Board Director of Violet Organization, welcomed the guests and gave a speech on the importance of women's participation in tech. Also, she mentioned new plans for next year's course and congratulate all the graduates. Additionally, the representative of iQ Group and MEED Foundation's Board Member, Mr. Heman Yones gave a speech about this successful program expressing his pride in getting to know and discovering creative individuals among the participants. He also discussed the ongoing process in terms of looking of development of the coming years.
Ms. Hanar Hadi, Project Manager at MEED Foundation, also delivered a presentation about Building the future through robotics, and she mentioned that the robots can work as much humans but needs to be supervised by humans. Additionally, Ms. Mina Nabaz, Project Manager at Violet Organization shared that in the first round of this year's course, 518 participants applied. In the second round the number increased to 1001, which is a proof that our individuals have capabilities and creativities they only need us to create the opportunity for them.
