The Halabja Economic Research & Analysis project is aimed at providing
a statistical and qualitative overview of the economy of Halabja
Government in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The project is divided into 2 segments, General Economic Overview and
Agricultural Overview. In the General Economic Overview statistical
data was collected from 4 districts of Halabja Governorate: Sirwan,
Khurmal, Hawraman and Bamo. Data on 2,459 sites was collected
categorised into 15 layers across 6 sectoral areas, residential,
commercial, industrial, agricultural, governmental and recreational
with 302 unique location types were identified.

in pinpointing specific neighbourhoods and quarters, yet MEED
Foundation identified 178 neighbourhoods and 196 quarters from the
data collected. While precise boundaries for some regions remain
unclear, a valuable overview of both urban and rural settings were.
Below is an analytical dashboard of the data collected.
